Tuğrul Kaban BA FCA
Tuğrul Kaban started his professional life in 1981. Tuğrul gained his early experience and qualification as a chartered accountant in a top-20 UK firm whose managerial ranks he left at the end of 1988.
From 1989 he was a partner in a smaller London firm for six years.
In 1995 he set up his eponymous practice as a dedicated provider to a select clientele, relocating the practice from London to Hertfordshire in 2000.
Tuğrul is a founder member of the Tax Faculty and has similarly been part of the Audit & Assurance Faculty from its inception in the early 1990s, both of which are specialist branches of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. His seniority in the profession was marked with the award of Fellowship of the Institute in 1995.
Tuğrul likes the challenge of high-spec professional assignments, often working alone behind the scenes in research, investigative and forensic work. Though, when necessary, he has a network of support to call upon.
Outside of business and family life, Tuğrul spends his time playing bridge. He holds the rank of Grand Master in the game. If he has not yet returned your call, he is probably playing in a tournament somewhere nationally and, occasionally, internationally.
Rosa Kaban BSc ACA
After graduating with a First Class Honours Degree in Mathematics at University, Rosa chose accountancy as a career and started her training in the Audit department in the London office of one of the ‘Big Four’ accountancy firms.
She qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2013, winning two prizes in the process (the ‘First Place and Peat Prize’ and ‘First Place and Spicer & Pegler Prize’) as she topped the International Order of Merit in the final stages of her exams with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
Within two years of qualification, she became a Manager in the Accounting Advisory department of the accountancy firm that she had trained with.
Rosa then moved to a FTSE 250 company in a Technical Accountant role and within two years was promoted to become the Head of Statutory and Regulatory Reporting.
In 2020, Rosa joined Kaban & Company as a director. Rosa enjoys helping her clients by taking on the burden of understanding complex tax and accounting requirements. She relishes being an all-round trusted advisor and professional ear to her clients.
